Our First Lady

“Humble Woman of God”

A virtual woman that is the epitome of a servant of God. Sister Smith embodies Proverbs 31. Sister Smith was born and raised on the Cooper Road of Shreveport, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Jimmie Boo Harper Sr. and Callie Mae Harper. She is the middle child of nine, and a graduate of Green Oaks High School. Through her courage as a daughter and sister, she won a basketball state championship with her driven and compassionate spirit. She is the mother of five (Ashley, Amy, Amber, Alex, Adam). Sister Smith cares about her loved ones and everyone that she comes in contact with. She optimizes different virtues through her walk of life as well as her walk with God. Sister Smith is very strong in her faith and allows God to lead her path whether that is through her ministry work, job, or through her walk

of life. She is a very authentic woman of God that trusts his plan for herself and her family. Through this trust, she is able to have faith that she can do all things and that God will always step in on time. With this type of faith, no weapon formed against her shall prosper even when Satan feels as though he has her defeated. The ministry work that she does is not to be glorified, but for someone to see God through her.

Sister Smith is a servant leader who always puts others before herself. She feels as if that is one of many of her responsibilities as a daughter, sister, mother, wife, aunt, etc. Through her character, she has developed a vision of how she wants to be remembered or portray. She often talks about the wisdom that she has gained over the years, and how she wants to spread that wisdom amongst others that she encounters. Her wisdom has allowed her to be steadfast, slow to anger, humble, and unmovable. Through her works in her faith, she hopes to reach others whether that is through song, prayer, speaking, or teaching. She has great integrity when it comes to doing things the right way, and the right way to her is God’s way. Sister Smith continues to thank God for bringing her this far and never leaving. Our First Lady is courageous in stepping out on faith, and she is generous to those she comes in contact with. She is forgiving for she knows God died on the cross to forgive us of our sins. She is always grateful for the opportunities that she has been given, the position that she is in, and the hearts and souls that she is touching along the way. She is very enthusiastic when it comes to the Word of God. Over the years, she has been a blessing to the Midway Church. We thank God for sending us a wonderful First Lady.
